👋 Hey, I’m Matt.

I live on the Sunshine Coast, QLD with my wonderful wife and three beautiful children.

I build data platforms for a living. I’ve spent the last 10+ years building and leading data platform and software teams across a range of industries, from telco and enterprise migrations to creative marketplaces, and now the electrical domain. You can find out more on my resume or on LinkedIn.

I write about data engineering, software engineering practices in the data domain, professional growth, and a bit of life outside work. I also share my thoughts on books I’ve read, and things I’m currently learning.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me on the mats training and teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 🥋, playing with some self-hosted software 🖥️, or spending time with my family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒.
